This is an example displaying a standard WordPress gallery set at the top of a post. This text will stop displaying on the blog index page wherever I decide to place a read more tag.
The read more tag is an option within the WordPress post/page editor and is button labelled ‘more’ – simply click to insert within your content where you wish. You may of noticed that this post is also displayed within a full width template rather than a sidebar. This is easily done by simply choosing a template when creating a new page or post.
Welcome to the good ol’ standard post format – you can add a featured image or not, type your post and link to articles and even place inline images or a fancy lightbox powered standard wordpress gallery to your post.

Add a slider shortcode to the top of a gallery post type to gain this effect. The theme will not display a featured image on the blog index for this post type even if one is set. It will however appear on it’s blog single page above the content.
This is an example of a Audio Post Type in WordPress You can easily add a playlist in WordPress just like an image gallery, or video playlist. Simply Add Media and select or upload your music files to create a new Audio Playlist and insert at the top of the page or anywhere you want it to appear in your content.
This is an example of a post using a WordPress video playlist of self hosted videos, it uses the Video Post Format feature of WordPress, and this post uses the full width template for beautiful large videos for greater impact- if you haven’t already noticed you can choose which template per page or post also.
